Children
Sunday Mornings
Harvest has a great team of teachers and caretakers that love children and want to share their love of God with them in a positive, easy-to-understand manner.
On Sunday mornings we offer care for infants and classes for children through grade 6 during the worship service. Children preschool aged and older attend the beginning of worship with their parents and are dismissed to their classes with a corporate blessing after a time of singing and Scripture reading. Everyone is invited to join in food and fellowship following worship, and then classes resume.
- NURSERY I — Infants – 1 year:
Parents will feel comfortable leaving their little ones knowing that the nursery workers will keep their baby safe, fed, diapered and happy. Our workers love to hold and play with the babies—we also have a spot for napping. - NURSERY II — 1 year – 2 ½ years:
This is a wonderful place for toddlers to explore a room full of toys and friends. Nursery workers will play with the children, diaper them, read to them, and provide safety for them. - BIBLE EXPLORERS — 2½ – 4 years:
This is a structured class where children are taught a Bible lesson and have craft, music and play time. We use an interactive curriculum that helps engage each child in the lesson. - TREASURER SEEKERS — 5 – 6 years:
Children will enjoy a class of Bible stories, music, crafts, puppets and games. The teachers share Christ’s love in a positive, fun atmosphere. - FIRST – THIRD GRADERS:
Teachers implement the “Hands On Bible” curriculum in class. This interactive curriculum gets the kids up on their feet learning about Christ. The teachers strive to create an atmosphere where children feel they belong and have fun! It is our objective for the lessons to be memorable. We want the kids to think about the lesson all week long so they can apply it to their life! - FOURTH – SIXTH GRADERS:
This is a discipleship class for the “tween-agers.” It is our goal that the kids start digging deeper into the Bible. We encourage a daily quiet time with the Lord. We discuss topics that are facing them each day. We share how God wants to be a part of every minute of their lives. We explain that Christ loves them and has a wonderful plan for their lives.
Vacation Bible School: Vacation Bible School took place July 13-16. A huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped with VBS this year! We appreciate your hard work and willing hearts to minister to the children. After climbing into a time machine and ending up in Rome, they had an amazing four day trip. The kids jumped right into the Roman theme and learned many things about the culture. They were taught by the apostle Paul, learned genuine Roman games, made Roman crafts, learned to write Jesus in Greek, and were challenged to accept Christ and spread His love to everyone they know.
