Community Groups
Why Community Groups?
Getting people involved in community groups at Harvest is not the end goal of this ministry. Rather, we seek for community groups to be places where people experience, and participate in, authentic Christian community. While each community group develops its own “personality”, there are three basic focuses they all share:
- LIFE…a focus on the members’ personal growth and spiritual maturity. Within community groups, there is an opportunity for mentoring and accountability relationships.
- LOVE…a focus on the development of healthy relationships within the group and within the Harvest community through prayer, fellowship, and meeting one another’s needs.
- LIGHT…a focus on an awareness of and a passion for the needs of those outside of the community group, including the larger Harvest community, as well as local organizations and missionaries worldwide.
